Importance of Pollinators

There has been a decrease in pollinators in the U. S. over the last 20 years. This presentation will inform the audience about the important roles bees and other pollinators play in our ecosystem and what we can do to support and protect pollinators. Participants will leave with a seed packet or a small flowering plant (both native).

Anneke Vermeulen is a Soil Conservationist with U.S. Department of Agriculture. Her current position involves working with local farmers on conservation plans to manage resources responsibly for both humans and wildlife. Pollinators are a strong passion of hers and she is looking forward to the opportunity to share her knowledge with the Gun Lake Tribal Community!
